Music composer Wajid dies of Covid-19 in Mumbai

Mumbai: Noted Bollywood music director Wajid Khan of Sajid- Wajid duo passed away late on Sunday night. He was 42.

According to sources in Bollywood, Wajid had been tested positive for Covid-19 a few days ago.

Wajid who was also suffering from kidney related ailments had undergone a transplant. However he developed infection recently and had been admitted at Surana Hospital in Chembur. He was kept on ventilator support for the past four to five days.

Sajid- Wajid brothers made their debut composing music for Salman Khan starrer- run away hit film Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya in 1998. Since then the duo became the favourite composers of the actor and collaborated with him on his many films like Garv, Tere Naam, Partner, Dabangg and its sequels to name a few.

The Bollywood fraternity has mourned Wajid’s death.
